Went out this morning set in my blind back in the thickest stuff possible with my 1965 model 336 30-30. I got impatient and walked around and spooked four or five good deer went home took a nap and it started raining pretty heavy here. Decided to go park my little Toyota 4x4 in a big pasture we hunt & use it for my dear blind. Had two does walk 60 yards off to my side so I grabbed the ol H&R 25-06 got out rested on the bed, despite the on & off rain & poor visibility I was able to send a Hornady 117gr "American Whitetail" into her high shoulder and she was dead before she hit the ground, both lungs obliterated with minimal meat damage. Nothing fancy just meat in the freezer.
