Has anyone put on a tang sight or any after market sight on a Marlin 38-55cb that improved the accuracy of the rifle, if so what sight wouuld you put on?

I put the Williams WGRS aprature sight on mine, with a Green front fire sight. The WGRS uses the two rear scope mount holes on the top of the receiver. I like the way it shoots.

In answer to your question, I put a Williams on my 1895CB but removed it because it was too "clunky" looking. It would be a good hunting sight but too bulky for a period looking rifle like a CB. The Lyman is cheaper, looks like the original but has no windage adjustment. Smith Enterprises, http://www.smithenterprise.com/1400_Ladder_Tang_Sights_Page.htm , makes a period looking tang site that has both windage and elevation on it but it is more expensive. Buffalo Arms, http://www.buffaloarms.com/browse.cfm/2,275.html , has a number of different manufacturers of tang sights at varying prices that would go very well with your .38-55. I hope this gives a you a good idea of what's available. All of them prevent you from wrapping your thumb over the wrist of the stock.
