Scored an 1894 in stainless today!

Just got back from the gunshop where I ran across an 1894 .357 stainless that was traded back in unfired.It has the JM proofmark on the barrel but the serial # ends in 49.The owner said he origanally sold it about a year ago,but the serial # says it was built in 1951?A little confused,but super happy with it.I am going to go out in the snow and shoot it!
