Just received my Amazon shipment today and had my scope mounted in 10 min. I purchased a Leupold UltimateSlam 3-9x40mm FireDot-R SA.B.R. http://www.amazon.com/Leupold-UltimateSlam-3-9x40mm-FireDot-SA-B-R/dp/B00AU695KU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411101468&sr=8-1&keywords=leupold+115368 I have it mounted w/Game Reaper 1 piece mounting system. http://www.amazon.com/Game-Reaper-Marlin-336-Medium-Mount/dp/B001EYH4I2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411100505&sr=8-1&keywords=game+reaper+12042 I really dig the view w/ the recticle. I won't make it to the range for a while. I had a C6-C7 cervical fusion last Friday 9/12/14(rookie surfer on a beach break). But It looks great.

Sticking to the low end of the magnification should make that a really effective combination. Get well quick so you can shoot that thing.

That's a great looking setup. I particularly like the mount. Congrats, lets us know how she shoots when you've healed up.

Nice. I like the Leupold FireDot I have and will be buying another soon. The DNZ mounts are tough but not overly bulky, it's what I chose for my M700 .308.

Be aware when you buy rings for a scope, you may have to spend almost $50 for a torque handle and bit to tighten to specified inch pounds. Mine specifies 22-25 inch pounds. Wonder if I can guess instead.
