S&W revolver identification help.

My co- worker inherited this from his uncle. It has no marking on barrel at all. No caliber markings either. Anyone have any ideas what it is? You have to unscrew cylinder pin knurl to open cylinder.

Look similar to this 86 hand ejector.

I think rx7 has it. Model 1896, .32 caliber. Produced from 1896-1903.
Serial number on the butt is in the high end of the range, (1-19712), so I'm guessing made around 1901.

He got all excited when I told him it was a 1st generation Smith double action. He saw $$ signs.😂. I haven’t said anything to him about that yet. I’ll let him sit on his cloud 9 for awhile.😁
