I have a new 1895GBL that just came back from being repaired.
Everything is supposed to be fixed but when I push a round in it does
not set back against the load gate unless I wiggle the lever.
I will check again but I am sure load gate screw is tight
so I'm thinking something is not letting the carrier drop
down.
Has anyone ever seen this?

Any luck with this? My new 1895 has a similar issue of the round not seating correctly once loaded into the magazine and when the lever is cycled it jambs up. It's as if after that fourth round is loaded you need to shove the fifth halfway in and pull it back out in order to get the bullet to seat correctly. I don't really know how to describe it..

1895s and .444s have a bubble in the mag tube that offsets the round to get it to feed in proper, unless you push it in a ways it won't go. This is a cutaway pic with a rd seated proper.
