I am interested in putting a Sig Romeo5 1X20 red dot on a Marlin 1894-44 mag. I've never used one of these and I'm asking if anyone here has mounted one of these.

Good idea or bad idea
What base is needed to mount one
Is 50 to 75 yards a reasonable distance to get accuracy
Is the Sig Romeo a good quality product

I have a Romeo1 on my P320 so far, perfect.
I have a 1894-44, I was playing with the idea of a reflex on it.

But that's all I have as far answering your questions.

Bump the question a few times, over the weekend too. Remember unlike Liberal Sites we all have jobs and lives to deal with so we need a little time to respond to what is a hobby.

While I can't specifically comment on the Sig, I can say red dots and lever guns go together like bread and butter.
