I'm sorry to hear of your buddy passing, most of us have been there and know your pain. Something I always remind myself about when one of my buddies pass is that I gave them the best life, most love and happiness anyone could have given them.
You, sir, have my deepest sympathies, lost my buddy of 15 1/2 yrs. last July 5th, 71 yrs old, and cried like a baby for a week, still hurts like all git out, man, I truly loved that dog, theres a big hole in my heart that will always be there. T Rex
I have two of them both 17 years old and their hind legs are starting to fail on them, but they eat and drink and do their business like a dog should. The male has the deep down cough in his chest. Female I'm sure she is going blind slowly.
Bayjoe, I'm sorry for your loss. I know the pain you're going through. It's been eight months since we had to make a tough decision to end the life of probably the best pet we ever owned. Fine looking dog.
Hey Bayjoe, I cannot function without my dogs. Got 2. Dogs are a gift from God. My advice is to know that dogs leave a will. Their home and your love to the next guy. I get to a shelter pretty fast and bring home someone who needs a home. No way a replacement, just a new guy. We cremate and I have all the ashes ready to be tucked in with me. Very sorry to know your girl Laya has passed. Take care, Mark
This little guy showed up a couple weeks ago. With the drought we have become the target of lots of mice so i had about a dozen mouse traps set around the outside the house. Well this little guy came up and started cleaning the peanut buttter off the traps.
So the wife doesn't particularly like...
We just rescued this beautiful 7 year old Treeing Walker Coonhound. We are getting used to each other. But, she is a real sweetheart!
She and our Basset get along very well too!! More updates as things progress.
Aside from the celebration of our nation's Declaration of Independence, this evening and tomorrow bring back very fond memories of the eight Independence Day celebrations I shared with my Fi. Each year, we would either sit on our front porch or on our back screened-in deck to watch the distant...
Our 12 year old mountain dog left us today. She was a good age for a Bernese, still about 80 pounds of affection and protection. We're going to miss her. The local turkeys on the other hand won't have to run so fast through the yard now. She never caught one but she gave it her best shot!
