I'm looking at a receiver sight on GB. The seller says the mounting screws measure .415" center to center.
Can anyone tell me if this will fit a 336?

I have measured my 336, and come up with .406". Am I way off, or is he?

Hey there Plumber -- You didn't say what brand the sight was. If it's a Lyman, Redfield, or Williams you are closest to the correct dimension. The seller may not have had an accurate measuring device or used poor technique in measuring. Here is a picture of the inside of a Lyman. The camera angle is causing the apparent mis-alignment - just a Popsicle delusion so to speak. Hope this helps. Best regards. Wind

Hey again Plumber -- That Williams is a 5D. I think you can get them on sale for under $30 at places like MidwayUSA. Unless you want the other two as well, you may be better off getting a Skinner. The button on the side of a Lyman will allow for multiple tool-less elevation settings, whereas with the Williams you will need a screwdriver for every change. Just launching another opinion.
