My 30-30 Win bullet mold, the TLC311-165-RF will soon be back in stock. It has shipped from Lee to the Ranch._________________________________________________

A few other things are happening at RDO that might interest the levergun shooter!
  • The TLC454-290-RF is now in stock, this is my 45 Colt bullet. I am in the middle of pressure testing this cartridge in my 1894S. Accuracy is outstanding and this gas checked design has already delivered the goods in big game cartridge performance.
  • The TLC411-255-RF, my 41 Mag bullet should arrive within the next seven to 10 days. Pressure trace testing will start immediately behind the 45 Colt bullet. Like that bullet, this is a gas checked design for big game hunting performance in the levergun!
  • My test mold for the TLC359-175-RF have arrived. Like the two previously mentioned bullets, this is a gas checked big game bullet for leverguns chambered in 357 Mag. Once testing is complete, I will offer more information through a product page dedicated to this design.
  • Work has started on an additional 30 caliber offering specifically for the 308 Marlin Express. A detailed look into this cartridge helped me understand that it has some very specific requirements to make it perform as well as it does with the Hornady bullet. Test molds have been ordered and in about 30 days, my work with it should begin. I doubt that this bullet will have application other than the 308 Marlin Express, it is a very unique design tailored to that cartridge. I would not see it working in the 308 Win.
  • Finally, in the very near future, I will be able to "Plain Base" any of my designs by removing the gas check shanks. This work will be accomplished in my shop for a small fee. When ordering a mold you will have an option to receive it with the existing gas shank base, all plain based, or a 3 cavity split to take advantage of both base styles!

Hello Ranch Dog!

I'm a castboolit.gunload.com guy who recently fell victim to the dreaded affliction of Marlinitis! I've been watching the TLC311-165-FP availability page like a hawk waiting to place an order but your news about offering plain-base versions has me even more anxious. Could you venture a fuzzy guess when you'll be able to make that in-house modification?

Thanks ~ Jech
Glad to hear you will soon start testing the TLC359-175-RF. I have three of your molds now and that is my next purchase.

Jech,

I should be up and running with the "plain base" option this week.
You da Dog, Man!

Been a busy day here at the ranch! I have my tooling up and running and the TLC311-165-RF order showed up at dark. I've been "Plain Basing" sample molds all afternoon and will cast from each hopefully tomorrow to verify the work. I want to place the TLC311 in my store at the same time I kick off the bullet base options. This work will be an additional $6. All the cavities, an additional $10. Through my store, you will have the ability to purchase the work for any of my previously purchased 6-cavity molds. Pay for it and ship it to me. Here is one of the just arrived TLC311 that has been turned into a 3X3 Plain Base/Gas Check mold.
