I'm considering a tactical winged front and rear Skinner set up for my Guide Gun. My question is when using the scout scope are they in the way? I have had the XS before and you kind of look past the rear sight when using the scope, but these are a bit larger with the added wings. Maybe a non tactical would be better for scope use?

I've been using the tactical rear quite a bit but not with a scope. I think you would be looking well over it with most scout scope mountings..

By the way....

I have winged front sights available now... :) Not listed on the websight just yet but the first batch has been produced.

Just received my Skinner Express Black Gold version for my 336. Beautiful piece for sure. Just got back from the range and she's shooting high. Want to order a new front sight but want to get the math right before I do. Here's the numbers:
Average group was 3.125" high
distance was 25 yards = 900 inches
Sight radius = 22.5"
3.125 X 22.5 = 70.3125 / 900 = .078125
Bottom of doevetail to top of front sight = .315
.315 + .078 = .393
So - if my math is correct I order a .393 high front sight - correct?
Feel free to correct me, I just want to get sighted in correctly.

Regards,

Dan
