I ran across a pre-safety 1895, straight stock, 1/2 mag, 22" (?) barrel, original sights and sling. Its mine for $375.

Now heres the problem. I already have a 1895 GS w/Brockman sights & WWG fingerloop. And, a beautiful original Marlin .375. Plus 2 other non marlin 45-70's, a 50-70, and a 40-70 Sharps.

Do I buy this clean pre-safety 1895 just because its a good deal?

What would you do?

P.S. I took all of your advice and bought it!!
See pics of it on this thread on the forum.

I recently bought one oe the older model 1895 45/70s because I did not have one and the price was right. I am an enabler...if you can afford it then by all means GET IT ;D. If you can't get it for yourself then find another MALINOWNERS forum member who does need it. My first impulse is to get it fast!!!

I say buy it unless you really dont want it or can't afford it.If you dont buy it,pass the info along to someone on this site and I'm sure someone here will give it a good home and will thank you kindly. ;D

You know, I never gave any thought of selling it. I ain't had it only 3 days. It seems the stock might have just a bit more drop in it than my '95 GS does. I drop into those sights just as good as my '48 336 SC. I would have to think about it some bfore I git rid of it now. Thanks for your comments and interest.
