Puma Deer Hunter I got for Christmas in the 70’s! Was my first belt knife and still my nicest/most cherished! Carried a bunch when I was a kid, but I don’t think I ever used it…original edge!
Very nice! I'm a big fan of Puma knives 👍

I've been waiting patiently (not!) for a custom knife I bought last week and it finally arrived this morning. J.B. Moore made #12. A beautiful copy of the Loveless drop point hunter. A 4" blade and OAL of 8 3/4". Beautiful wood scales over the full tang. Here's the description in the ad:

AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET TO THE ORIGINAL LOVELESS DESIGN FOR HUNTING AND SKINNING.
DROP POINT, STAINLESS STEEL MIRROR FINISH, STAINLESS STEEL BOLTS, SILVER NICKEL BOLSTER, EXOTIC WOOD, HAND MADE LEATHER SHEATH, COMFORTABLE GRIP. FANTASTIC BALANCE FOR HEAVY SKINNING, NEW IN SHEATH
(JB MOORE HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVE FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS)

I'm pretty sure that my pics come nowhere close to capturing the quality of this very nice piece.

Here is another one of my Buck Knives- This one has been around 42 years or so. I don't remember the year but I was working at JCPenney in the sporting goods department while in college and they began to eliminate sporting goods back then and were marking all sporting goods down. This Ultima I knife was marked down and with my discount, I believe I bought it for around $9.00. I liked the Mother of Pearl so much that I never used it. It has been in my safe for many years.

It is a Ultima I #507 Buck Pocket Knife with a mother of pearl handle. It pre dates their dating system.
The Pearl handle and blade is flawless and the knife has never been used.
It still has the factory edge on the blade.
I have the original box, sleeve and small brochure that came with the knife.
Ebay and other venues have been selling these for quite a bit over the last few years.

Grabbed another Old Parker Edwards fixed blade. NOS and it looks it! Came with original box and many year patina. A 4" Damascus steel, clip point blade and real stag scales on the full tang. Out of the box, the unused leather sheath had mildew on it and the bolsters (brass?) were very tarnished. The stag scales are very nice, but one is a good bit darker than the other. Blade has original sharp edge and the entire thing looks 200% better after an hour or so of elbow grease. I was rather surprised that with the obvious disregard for condition that the Damascus was still very nice with no visible rust to my eye.

Finally had a chance to catch up - been out of circulation with many different things happening in life. . .

Lots of great looking knifes posted in the last week or two - - - thanks to all for posting and sharing - - - makes me want to go and feed the need.

@Golphin - I like that Bowie - reminds me of the Bowie that Western Knives made years back. . .

Speaking of feeding the need - a short story . . . a man walks into a pawn shop yesterday and leaves with a knife. . .
A Colt CT10 Black Diamond Defender - NIB (!) I kid you not - date on box is 1995 - still in the wrapping - never was in the sheath - numbered #038 of 750. . . these were manufactured by United Cutlery USA

My first Colt Knife (I think🤔:ROFLMAO:) must find more. . . maybe

On my routine daily search of Knives & guns, I ran across this specimen that I thought might interest some of you. It's branded a "Wild Turkey Hand Made". 3 blades:

At least the fedex guy showed up today while the wife was gone...... This one is actually a free-bee. I hadn't seen anything I liked or considered a good deal at Cabelas for a couple months to use my points on. So I decided to just go ahead and get myself a Buck Vanguard (692) and did just that. Very nice knife with a good hefty feel to it. I had a couple of leather sheaths I hoped would fit and got lucky with that too. Free express shipping made it a great deal(y)

No posts yet today, so I'll just add a bit of knife porn. Stag handled newbies, 3 handmade, one Parker Edwards with Damascus steel. All are nice to handle and better? to look at. Watching the Darlington race and listening to Million Dollar Bill now. Earlier The King was on and Bobby Labonte too. Throwback weekend.

Happy Mother's Day! Be sure to let them know.....mother's, wives, sisters and dear friends.

Found an interesting knife online last week that I took a shine to and made a low offer on it. Surprisingly enough, it was accepted. Said to be a used DKC it is damascus steel and polished bone scales. About 9" OAL and a 4.5" clip point blade. Looked to be original and unused(?) edge. A nice heavy leather sheath came with it, but I liked the fit of another sheath I already had on hand better and the new one fits the nice Damascus Parker Edwards I recently got very well. So.......
