Scored a good size doe yesterday with my dad’s 1969 336 in 35 rem. I haven’t been able to take a buck with it yet, but I try to use it some every year. It brings back good memories. Dad passed almost 3 years ago and I miss him terribly. It always makes me feel good to hunt with his rifle as those are my fondest memories of him when he hunted with it.

Thanks guys for all the kind words. I'd rather still have my dad here, but I know he's much better off in Heaven. The rifle is a good reminder of the many good hunts we had together over the years.

On a side note, I will say, I was surprised I didn't get a complete pass through on that shot though. It was 40ish yards maybe, and she expired quick so it was a good humane shot. I've never not had that 35 go all the way through though until this time.
