Has anyone ever made this swap? It seems all that is necessary is the lower tang assy. ,a square lever and a straight stock from an 1894?. Sounds easy, but there has to be more to it. Around here straight gripped Marlins are scarce. I certainly prefer them. If you have knowledge of this please reply.

If you drive to Highlands, Tx (about 1.5 hours) and visit Triangle Guns you will find a selection of Marlins with the straight grip stock.

I dont work there and am not affiliated in any way, but was in his store and looked at a few.

Thanks, I'll do just that in the near future. I have always intended to stop but never did.
