Last Fall went on a combo turkey/ hog hunt. Got too many turkeys (oops...) but got skunked on the pigs. Well this Monday (Memorial Day) I'm going on a spot and stalk and try to even the score. The terrain around here is great for that type of hunt but is expansive enough you really need an off-road vehicle to cover the territory. You'll still end up walking a couple miles up and down every time you get out/off your vehicle. Should be a lot of fun. I'm stoked..!
Well, Guys, sorry for the late update. I've been buried in "stuff" getting ready for a new job. Anyhoo-- Memorial Day hunt got scrubbed due to high water preventing us from getting to our hunt territory. Trying to get it back on the calendar for a day or 2 before the end of the month. I'll let you know. Thanks for all the good wishes.
Sorry to hear that, Man.
I leased a new place next to me and so far I have only been
able to hunt this side of the creek...which is about 10 acres out of
the 60.
Every time I think it's going to dry up it floods again.
I got plenty of other places I can go but that one is new and I
just want to walk it all.
