Thanks HB. I pulled the original stock that came with it and put the HS Precision stock on it. It is a very accurate rifle.

I like that precision stocks a lot. I have a B&C, MPI, McMillian, and HS on various rifles. Right now I have a Manners stock being built for a project im working on. Its going to be a 350 rem mag on a LH Montana 1999 action

The Number One is left handed, or right handed. No matter. It's the same on either side! My southpaw buddy loves the Number One single shots. So do I:

As promised here is just one of my left hand rifles. I made her in the mid 80's after tiring of going 10 rounds with my .54 Ole Ugly at shooting matches. The .45 kills paper just fine. Ohio Perch Belly, .45x36x1 Green Mountain barrel, original G. GOULCHER lock w/updated guts, German silver mounts, curly maple stock stained with Homer Dangler's Golden brown stain, finished with tung oil. I used this for match shooting but I have an urge to take her deer hunting. I have a full stock blank that is just as nice for the entire length. Ok here are the pics..

The hunters star I laid out and made myself. I did all of the engraving and design, I really like the "PIKE" sideplate. I have found someone that will engrave my patchbox with my design. At the time I needed to engrave it I did not like my design. I came across it a few years back and really liked it. I wanted to let the barrel brown on it's own but I don't like the results so it is getting browned.

I was born right handed, and right eyed. 10 years ago I lost the sight in my right eye. So, I learned to shoot left handed. It feels pretty natural now. Of course lever guns work fine left handed. For bolt action this is my Rem 700 in .270.
