This is a cast 405 gr from a lee mold next to a 22 cal bullet.

As long as you don't drive them too fast they shouldn't be bad.

I used to have some of those 700gr 500 s&W pills that looked awfully impressive in a bullet lineup like that.

I'm pushing the PDJs at just south of 1500 right now. Recoil is still....ummm...impressive. Yeah, that's the word. Impressive. I'm going to try and get them to 1750 or so.

I won't shoot the PDs much. I'll probably work up three loads to get as close to 1600 as I can get, then finish off the box and stick the loaded cartridges in the vault and break them out for my first Alaska trip.

I'll keep the MBC 405 gr bullets for practice at low velocity
