Anyone here ever mount a Providence Tool/Peabody Pattern 21 sight on a 336? What's your opinion of this sight, especially on a 336A? I just acquired a 1951 vintage 336A that is on its way to me and want to set it up for hunting and possibly SASS side matches. Hunting ranges can be "longish" here in Utah, but I don't want to ruin the lines of this rifle with a scope. (Besides I have enough scoped bolt actions I can hunt with.) Will I need to drill/tap a hole or are there existing holes in the receiver for this sight? Any help/info would be appreciated?
