As posted before, my family and I are Basset Hound “people”. We have been adopted by five over the past several years.

Seneca , a sweet sassy 10 year old lady, joined our family on November 12th.
She had a heart murmur and was on meds.
Last Friday, she stopped eating. I took her to our vet who ran various tests and said that I needed to take her to a specialist. Our girl had metastatic cancers. She had obviously been sick for a while and never showed us until Friday.
The specialist said that she was in terrible pain and there was nothing that could be done.
We made the decision to give her the peaceful rest she deserved.
We only had 2 months with her.

We are sad beyond words. 🥲

Many of us sympathize with you and have been in your position more than once. Dogs, in my opinion, are needed in every household. I can't imagine life without a dog.
