A friend had me chronograph some of his loads through his EMF Hartford SA 45. Everything went smoothly except the cylinder pin kept walking out. I mentioned it, and he said it did that since he bought the gun used. He also wanted it cured. Does anyone have a fix for that or a link? SW

I believe Wolff makes a stronger pin spring for single actions, otherwise he may need a new pin. You didn't say which frame we're dealing with either. Old style, screw holds pin in. New style, cross pin with spring holds it in...........Buck 8)

Buck,

Thanks! It's the cross-latch type with the two notch cylinder pin that's supposed to act as a safety when locked in the front notch. Apparently, someone dry fired the gun that way and hammered the cyl pin until it would no longer lock up. I plan on letting him know he needs parts and will tell him about the Wolf spring. Thanks again!! SW
