I just picked one of these today for the paltry sum of $250 OTD. It is in every bit of 99% condition! After looking the gun over thoroughly I cannot find a single scratch or blemish on it.
It's a '92 gun without the checkering and the wood is great looking straight-grained walnut.
My question is this, WHY does the forend have to be so damn FAT? It literally seems to stick out 5/8" on either side of the barrel. My Mountie has a nice trim forend. I wonder if I could get a Mountie forend from Marlin to put on this gun??
Can't wait to get it to the range!
