I can almost say that is likely out of an old US Army manual...I had a similar script/description for a Hotchkiss we researched.

No dig or disrespect to or at anyone. My only thought was that the original source the article it came out of would/could have been provided so that way if a book is available I could perhaps find one. I do hope I said it better this time and don't make matters worse. Just like to know where information comes from or out of, kind of what sdeeter19555 eluded to being from an Army manual.
