What I meant is a traditional looking 22mag lever. Not much on that look. Looks like my ruger 10/22 with a lever.

mine is very nice.they no longer use the plastic parts. The frontier mod.(octagon barrel) never did.
the action is smooth, trigger crisp and clean. 100% made in USA.
gauranteed forever!
When you call, the President(Mr. Emperato) answers the phone.
I've been at this a long time, and am not easy to fool.

any pics? i was looking at both models the standard and frontier. i want a well balanced hunting rifle. accuracy would be great. scope-ability is cool too. ive looked at the winnies and they are running about $850 which is a little up there. id almost rather buy a bolt rifle in 22 hornet than to spend that. but im all still up in the air. i have alot i want to acomplish this year. im in my waiting period 1 per 30 days for state of va right now. so itl be a while for the next gun. i really want some more marlins but ive spent too much this year already so im thinking the only other thing this year will be a rimfire.

i found the basic model henry 22mag on gb for $350 plus shipping and the frontier seems to be $400-450

more feedback please. i didnt like anything i read about the plastic

I looked at Henry's after reading reports on here about them. I am totally unimpressed. I had the Frontier in my grubby little hands at Gander Mountain just recently, and it's just not a gun that I want. I suggest you go try one. You may find it's exactly what you want, but I did not. I certainly wouldn't buy one without trying it.

I looked at a couple of Henry's -- those things are HEAVY. There was a nice little Rossi pump for $229 in .22 Mag that caught my eye at the LGS - I liked it better than any other .22 Mag I looked at. The action was pretty slick, albeit dry, and the trigger was crisp and light. It was a light handy little rifle. Sure does get a person to thinking.

I wish I could find a Winchester '94 in .22 Mag to match my 9422 that I've had since I was a wee little pot-licker. After finding one, I would wish that I could afford it. ::) ;) ;D For my third wish... ???
