Federal Fusion .45-70 Government 300 Gr. Spitzer- Box of 20

has anyone used this and how did they like it?

I shot a box of it and it's about as accurate as the Federal Power Shok 300 grain.
Haven't shot it at any animals, so I can't comment on stopping power.

It's a great bullet in the load and usually shoots well out of most 45-70. The bullet is the Speer 300 grain. Really robust bullet that expands really well, retains alot of weight and seems to be a well kept secret! If I was shooting factory loads, that is the stuff I'd use. I use alot of the 300 grain Speer in my own handloads.

I looked up the load on Midway just now and it is described as a spitzer bullet but that is not what I think of as a spitzer bullet. I think of a flat based bullet with a pointed or spire point . I call the speer 300 gr bullet a flat point.

The bullet has a great reputation
