Looking at some Hornady 444 bullets #4300 and notice new have failure slots in them, old don't. Someone may be able to data old by the box, late 1990s I think.Same # but new say Interlock, old box does not.Just thought it was curious.
I've never been accused of being super smart so I am going to ask a question. I have never heard of "failure slot's" what are they? I am guessing the cuts in the jacket where the lead is exposed, to initiate expansion. To answer your question the old box is early to mid 90's vintage, I have a bunch of them from that era.
