Need some advice.

I was talking with an old fellow and he indicated that he had a 26inch, 1/2 octagon, 1/2 round Marlin 93 barrel in 32/40caliber which has never been on a gun. He offered it for sale for $250.

Is this a reasonable price?

Let me here from you.

Hi Willie,
I am, by no means, an expert on this subject. I have never seen barrels advertised, so I could not offer you any ideas. If it is, indeed, a genuine (and roll-stamped as such) Marlin barrel that is NOS, $250 may be a good price. If you can haggle with the owner, good luck. It might be a good investment or someplace to start on your own project. 'Hogger or MM93 should be able to shed some light on the subject. It may be a rip-off to one person, or a good deal to another. It can be however YOU perceive it.
