My great Grandfather left Indiana right after the civil war and came to Ks, he said there were too many crazy people in Indiana.

If you really wanted to stir things up, you could have said "my Henry .22 is better than your Marlin 39"...or, "your Henry .22 is a piece of junk"...or my personal favorite "my Marlin 60 will shoot inside of 1/2" at 100 yards all day long with cheap K-Mart ammo."

Actually the 39 is an excellent back up gun for the model 60. That's because the Model 39 works ALL THE TIME so you wind up using it most of the time anyway cause your Model 60 is jammed.

Also, I've heard that the Model 60 is actually more virsitle than the Model 39 as you can use a Model 60 to pound in your tent stakes were you would never even consider doing that with a Model 39.

Mod. 60 features:
1. Select birch stock with "press-board" checkering.
2. Plastic trigger assembly housing.
3.Painted "pot metal" reciever, guaranteed to scratch the first time you mount a scope on your mod. 60.
4. Last shot bolt open. This feature not used much as mod.60 usually jambs before magazine is empty.

Mod. 39a features:
1. Select black walnut stock with machine cut checkering.
2.Machined heat treated reciever and moving parts.
3. Flawless functioning.
4. Pin point accuracy
5. Timeless styling.
6.Quality that will stand the test of time. etc...etc...etc...

mod.60-for-life,
Is it still legal to buy a new mod. 60 there in Harlem?

Judging buy your user name I'd say you are a mod.60 collecter,am I right?

Do you have any 60's with the squirrels hot stamped on the pistol grip?
