Check this one out - Seller claims it to be 95% condition, but look at the buttstock, specifically how the top of the buttplate doesn't line up with the top of the stock. Can you say "really bad restocking job???"

Black Walnut is unpredictble stuff- in my vault, one Niedner plated butt shrunk so much that the plate looks too big for it, while a Milsurp stock swelled up after re-finishing.... danged if ya do, and if ya don't.... the one in the pic has been worked on, no doubt...

The buttplate is mounted out of line with the top of the stock. It appears to have a "droopy" look to it. Finish is all wrong on the wood too, for a early Marlin.
