That's what I'm looking for only in 44MAG. All 1894s I come across have 20" barrels. Does anyone know when and what models featured the 16" ones? This is the first one I've seen. SS or Blue is fine with me, just want the short barrel in 44MAG.

Wow that rifle is worth double that, at least to me as I'm looking for one. Someone got a great deal indeed..

If i had seen it for sale he would not have got it as cheaply.

My gun pusher had three of the four available when i bought the 44 mag. I wish i had picked you the other 2 in hindsight. I paid 539 plus tax new. He did not have the 41 mag model maybe it came out at a different time.

16.25 barrels are on the limiteds, and the 1894p. The p had the ports on it.

I also think there was a trapper version for talo with the short barrels.

I sure looks like it got hit with a wire wheel.
You can see the marks on the receiver.

Is it an illusion, or does it look like someone took a wire wheel to the stainless on that thing?

I have about a dozen stainless models and one or two show swirl marks similar to that when viewed at a certain angle. The finish is smooth, apparently they use some sort of wheel when buffing so I'm going to guess it is normal.
