Does anyone know how they go about getting the medallion into the buttstock of these commemerative rifles? Do they have a bunch made and order a bunch of guns and replace the buttstock, or do they come from the factory with the medallion already placed in a matching stock set. I looked at one in 25/20 yesterday that I am very interested in but the forearm and buttstock do not even appear to be the same wood? The forearm is definately walnut but the butt is pretty light and appears to be maybe birch and has the NRA emblem in it. Was someone at one time trying to pass this off as an NRA gun?

I am currently in a bind trying to decide weather to but this (which I really like the caliber) or the Marlin 375 sitting next to it.
