Most of our shooters at Friendswood,TX are pistol shooters but a few shoot rifles. Many of them shoot their pistols better then I shoot rifles.Early in the day the wind was 15-25 mph,it died down in the afternoon.I started with My TC contender in 22LR at field pistol, got 25x40.Next the 39A in smallbore CLA couldn't seem to hit with it only 26x40.Next the Marlin 1894C 357 mag in Pistol cartridge CLA,first match with it.Got 28x40 including 10 turkeys.Couldn't hit the rams. Then the 30/30 CB in Centerfire CLA.Got 10 chickens,10 pigs, only 5 turkeys, and 8 rams in a row shot over the last 2,I'm claiming that it was due to barrel heat, for 33x40.I'm happy with the 357 it seems to do much better than my 44 mag at any range.Maybe I'll try it on the full size targets next time.
