I noticed something unusual in the Hornady 2014 catalog. On Page 35, the first page of the bullet section, is a photographic display of 20 bullets, and the 3rd from the left is the one I'm referring to. It looks similar to the bullet intended for the .444 Marlin cartridge but there is significantly more exposed lead than earlier examples of it, & the lead seems to be scalloped at 2 levels in the photograph. It also has 2 canelures. This could be a good choice for the lower velocity .44MAG loads, than their previous design of this bullet, giving more expansion than the older. Is anyone using this new design in their .44 loads? Those of you who have the 2014 catalog, are you seeing what I'm seeing & what are your thoughts about it? Thanx for the feedback. jd45
