I hear ya 'Hunter. The lack of new calibers is why I bought a 2nd XS-7 in 308win. I'm trying to decide if it stays a 308, or becomes a 260rem, 250Savage, or 358Win.

i sure hope so. i think rem holds marlin back on a lot of things, this just being one of them. can't start taking customers away from the 700's ya know. i would like to see some mags 300 or 7mm especially. marlin hear us roar, we want more! hey that rhymes.

Quite a selection can be had from the advertisers over at savageshooters.com
I have a .45 barrel on a XS7 converting it to a muzzle loader. Original plan was to
do it as a switch barrel with the factory barrel, but had to open up the forearm
barrel channel to the point the factory barrel looks rediculous, so ordered a
Criterion varmint barrel which will fit nicely.

So, ya want a 260? There's one on this page that will fit a x7.....how about a
260 AI, even?? :
