Good morning to all. I’m new to Marlin but have several Winchester’s and a Henry. I’ve had a lifelong love affair with leverguns and decided I had to include a Marlin or two! My question to you all is I’ve acquired a 1904 model 1894 in 25-20. I’ve haven’t seen any in my brief time investing them that have barrels makers special smokless steel. As this is in the early years of smokeless powder is it safe to use modern loads (Remington factory loads)? My plans are to reload my own with light loads and lead FP. I haven’t been able to locate any 25-20 brass so hoping to use the factory loads and then reload the brass. Thank you for your help. Stratfordphil
Hey Phil - welcome to MO and greetings from Ohio. Good luck with the .25-20. All the folks here would love to see some pics of that 1904-era Marlin of yours!
