Had some nice thick (~1 inch) pork chops. Usually I give them a quick sizzle (Maillard reaction) on both sides and than smother them in applesauce to finish cooking. No applesauce. I'll try apple pie filling. All we had was cranberry/apple pie filling. OMG! I'll be doing this again.

Sugar and Salt. Two of the worst things we could ever consume. There are other alternatives that are healthier.

Had near the same for dinner tonight myself. Smaller portions (1/2" thick) & smothered in applesauce that I had made from my own trees last year, (very little sugar Mike T.). Salad & yellow squash from the garden & desert was A cantaloupe from the garden. I Think it was pretty healthy!
