I just found this site. I bought a 1895G with the JM mark from a friend last week and it seems the addiction has started again. I almost had it under control with Ruger Single Actions and it looks like the Marlin's will take up the slack. I took the 1895G out hog hunting the other day and WOW. Three hogs in less than four hours with 3 shots. The 45-70 Government is awesome. One shot one kill. They all dropped like they were hit with a sledge hammer. My friend came to his senses and now wants to buy it back, not going to happen this ones a keeper.

Hey 44,

Welcome to MO.

Yep, them 1895's will make short work of "piggy". LOL (most other game critters, too)

Later, Mark
