Has anyone heard about the 2 new 1894's? .44 and .357, both supposed to be stainless steel,gray laminated stocks with 16.25" barrels. I cannot find them on the Marlin Firearms website, but my local dealer says his distributor has them.

I think you're refering to the 1894SBL and 1894CSBL.
According to the Marlin Rep at the SHOT show, they should be available for shipment to the distributors about June/July.

Look on page 12-13 of the Marlin catalog.

The 1894css all sold out soon after delivery, I'm sure these will too. It is a very cool idea but the real question will be about quality.
