Hello everyone. I'm really enjoying this sight.
I never knew that lever guns would be such the hot commodity!
I have a 94XXXXX "JM" 1894C, blued, in .357 that I bought brand new in 2006 for $420. It's now topped with XS with ghost ring sights. That's the only change I ever made. It's an awesome little blaster. On it's first outing in 2007 I dropped a 150lb Texas ten point "like a sack of taters" at 75 yards with Buffalo Bore 158 gr. Gold dots. I absolutely love that gun.
And I have a 1894SS in .44 with a silver 2.5-8x36 Leupold VX3. I've only killed one doe with that rifle. I intend to use it more often.
Unfortunately it's a 91xxxx (REP) that I picked up new in 2011 for $475. I was completely unaware of the Remlin crisis at the time. It had a scratched screw head on the barrel band, the finish is not to par of my 1894C , and there was a miniscule piece of machining shaving that I peeled off the right side where the chamber begins. But it cycles perfectly and shoots 2" groups at 100 yards with factory loads. It looks damn good to me.
