im looking to get a new 45-70 ss guide gun with the loop id like walnut stock instead of the grey laminated stock and what else would you do inorder to make it bullet proof ie trigger? extractor follower ect this will be my first marlin as well as 45-70 I wanna improve on a TANK :)

Welcome! What exactly do you envision? I would take possession of said rifle first and shoot it to ensure reliability with your load of choice and go from there. There's a whole pile of things you COULD do with it, like slick up the action, or add accoutrements like a rear peep or scout rail. As far as changing the mechanics of an already beefy platform, I would make sure everything is as it should be first.

You can spend as much money as you want on customizing a rifle.
If you are going to do a "build" why not look around and find an
earlier one to start with?
If you look/lurk around here, there are many options to look at...
Wild West happy trigger...Boyd stock...ported barrel...action job...
sights...and that's just scratching the surface, Man.
