Hi everyone,
My first firearm was a Winchester 94 in 30-30 which I shot a lot. Since then I went to bolt rifles, muzzle loaders and then ARs. In getting older(which it seems like a lot of you are) I got the desire to go back to the beginning. I got my old 94 out and actually had a lot of fun with it. So, I just purchased a 1894c. Since the eyes don't focus very well anymore(like a lot of you) I was thinking of putting a scope on it however that just doesn't seem right to me. In reading some of the great info on this site today, I think I will try a peep sight. Thanks in advance for all the information on this site.

Welcome to Marlin Owners from Eastern Ontario, Cda. (Ottawa)

I agree with you about eyesight. I put a scope on many rifles but the one I am most likely to shoot in a sandpit with open sights (a .35 Rem 336RC), I put a see-through mount on it. Some will say that that is not "right". I say it is an alternative!!

Sincerely,

JDP
