I have a small fishing here in Brooklyn NY docked at Sheepshead bay. I look at the maps up toward the north cost and Nova Scotia. I always wondered how hard it would be just to take the cost line up there.

The hunting season and rule book we get every year with the purchase of a hunting licence in NY states there are Moose sightings in NY to the north. I could only guess along the border of Canada

I am formerly of Brooklyn, New York and fished the docks at Sheepshead Bay on both sides of the bay. You can also fish from Canarsie Pier and near the Cross Bay Bridge and Marine Pkwy Bridge. You can catch larger fish near the Rockaway Jetties or near Riis Park. Near Coney Island Creek you will have saltwater fish merging with freshwater fish. Near the Verazano Narrows Bridge you can stand near a railing and cast out for Bluefish, Striped Bass, Blackfish, Summer and Winter Flounder and Porgies depending on the season. If you have a boat you can get to any of these waters. If not you can still reach them by car. Marla

NY borders Quebec and they have a good population of moose.
How big is your boat?
