If you're limited to one it would be nice to know what you would use it for, deer, something bigger, in GA or hunting elsewhere? I couldn't stand myself so had to buy one of each. There are those on this forum and eslewhere that think one is better than the other. I think they both have their own purpose and advantages/disadvantages.

Lot's of debates here, if you do a search you'll see what I'm talking about. Feel free to let us know what your thoughts are and how you would use it.

Start with the 444, and if there's something that it doesn't kill for you then you might need the 45/70.

I'm thinking you'll be good...Welcome to the board!

I have several rifles including several lever 30-30's 44mag and one of my boys has a 444 I think I want a 45-70 just to shoot and maybe for deer, hogs or bear what you think?
