I emailed H&R's customer service and found they have .357 magnum barrels in stock for $82 + $15 for fitting. I also asked what the possibility was of installing the 12 or 20 gauge "ribbed" barrels like the ones they put on their Topper Deluxe Classic. Those are $77, so I'm getting one of each.

I guess all you gotta do is ask!

Today I just got my Handi-rifle back. Had the following bbls fitted:

357 MAg
22 Hornet
.410 Shotgun
28 a Shotgun

These go along with the 45-70, 30-30 and 223 bbls. Hope to get to the range soon to test the new ones.

KB291,

Does your 357 barrel have micro-groove rifling? I read somewhere that they used that or used to anyway.

Not micro groove.Looks like I'll be doging raindrops the next few days so range time is a fewdays away. ot to get a scope base to mount a scope as the eyes are not good enough for iron sights.
