I fulfilled a personal quest today to find a twin for my Dad’s old 336 SC in 35 Remington. His is an “m” date code made in 1955. The twin I picked up today is a waffle top SC made in 1952, also in .35 Rem. in my mind, these rifles were the fathers of the current SBLs that everyone loves with much better craftsmanship.

I don't know if you are a peep sight kind of guy but the Williams FP is just kind of icing on the cake with the SC. I have one in .35 and one in .32 Special and man with a peep sight do they ever make me look good.

I have a 1950 one & it is a great shooter of cast bullets.

Cool rifles. LGS has a waffle top 30-30 for sale. Pretty rifle. But can't justify another 30-30. If it was a 35 it would already be in the safe.

I sold a long tang Deluxe Winchester 71 from 1936 to get more Marlins, I love them!
