Saw it on the rack of new guns and picked it up for a closer look. Sights were not misaligned. Wood evenly finished and fit was as good as any other non-molded stock gun. Metal finish was also acceptable. Didn't have time to ask for the ties to be removed to check the action, but the exterior views would not have put me off buying it if I were in the market. Methinks Remington may have a handle on lever guns now.

The ones I am seeing in my LGS are definitely looking better. I saw a 336BL in 30-30 that was a really nice little levergun, however, it still didn't have the feel of the older guns.

Wonderful!
I wish I knew when we could buy new, sight un seen on line. No telling how long it will be before the dogs are off the shelves. I'm thinking it's going to be quite a while because they need unsuspecting customers to by the dogs. Wait a minute, most buyers don't have a clue what has happened. Maybe it will be sooner than I think.
