That looks Fantastic :congrats:...... I really like the finish on the wood. Did you trim down the forearm? Did you shape the bottom of the pistol grip?

MinWax also makes a good "Magic Marker" Touch up pen to cover over small scratches on a rifle stock. Its amazing.

What you did is better than what Remington has been putting out the door.

Thanks,I appreciated all the feed back,I reall do not care for checkering on Lever guns,I know it has it,s place but to me,it better be sharp,precise and have a pleasing pattern,if not don't do it.I like the classic style pistol grip bottom and a slimer forearm,not a baseball bat.Just my own thoughts though,but thanks again,Pete
