OK I bought both of these recently. The Model No 29 I am sure some one re-blued. It is almost perfect, a great little .22. The other is a Western Field Model 740-A EMN 30-30 Serial number 70-124948. It also is nice shape, can't wait shoot. Thanks for the help in advance.

You might do some research in the reference library section(?) in here to be positive on your rifles, but believe your 30-30 was made in 1970 from what you show above. Off the top of my head, as I recall your Western Field model was made by Marlin for sale through the now defunct Montgomery Wards stores. Can't help with your .22 dating, but serialization for .22 rifles wasn't required by law until 1968 if you can't find one; although some mfg did it anyway prior to that.
