The Hammer Spur is the Example B, as shown on page 566, of Col. Brophys Book.

It's Identified as "The Second type of hammer spur furnished with all brand name lever actions.

There is No "JM" stamped on the Spur.

Gun Parts Corp sells aftermarket flat hammer spurs for $19.95. I got a few of them, and they work and have a period correct look.
