How is it to hunt in Blackwater? Anyone familiar with it?

Anyone experienced in Hog hunting in that area?

I'm in Illinois and would like to try Hog hunting, but not the 'canned' hunting type.

First, neither Blackwater nor Aucilla is in Northeast Florida. Aucilla is in the big bend area, south of Tallahassee and Blackwater is in extreme northwest Florida, near Pensacola. The reason both these hunts were made available is an abundance of hogs on both areas. They are open to both dog and still hunters, as dog hunting is the only effective way to decrease the population. These are not "canned" hunts, but they will be HOT. The hogs lay up during the heat of the day, so just before sunset is the best time to still hunt these areas.

Honestly, I wouldn't have commented but one of the replies was from a guy in Illinois, and it's important we (our agency) gives him good information. We would love to have him visit and take some pork home with him!
